COVID-19 (Coronavirus) UPDATE | 24th March 2020
Farewell for now…
Like you, we find ourselves in uncharted waters. Our absolute priority is the health and well-being of our guests and our team and we take our responsibility to support HM Government’s advice very seriously.
We feel it is our duty to be a part of the solution in stopping the spread of this virus. It is with a heavy heart that we have therefore made the decision to temporarily close the Beadnell Towers from Saturday 21st March 2020. This closure includes our restaurant, bar and hotel bedrooms.
We are taking each day as it comes and will open again as soon as we can. This will be reviewed regularly in line with HM Government advice.
We will continue to keep you updated by email, through our website and via our social media platforms.
If you have any questions or need to discuss anything at all, please do contact our team. They can be reached every day from 9am to 6pm, but please be patient with us as we are currently very, very busy.
In closing, we wanted to say thank you to all of you that have been kind enough to send us well wishes. Your heartfelt messages of support have spurred us all on throughout what continues to be a challenge for all of us. Thank you, we certainly appreciate it.
Sending all good wishes and healthy regards to you all,
Group General Manager

FAQ (Frequently asked Questions)
BOOKING TO STAY OR EAT AT BEADNELL TOWERS?
We have temporarily amended our terms and conditions so that if you have to postpone your visit your deposit won’t be lost, but can be used for another stay within 12 months of your original reservation date. If you have any questions or concerns, please don’t hesitate to contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org or 01665 721 211. Do rest assured, you will find the county of Northumberland just as welcoming and just as beautiful when you next visit.
WHAT ARE WE DOING TO MIMINISE THE SPREAD OF CORONAVIRUS?
We have a detailed action plan, developed in consultation with our Environmental Health Officer, which is put into practice by all our team members. This is being verified and reviewed daily to ensure it reflects the latest government advice.
We are all washing our hands on a regular basis, as well as washing our hands thoroughly upon entering the hotel. Staff are regularly trained in personal hygiene and how to wash their hands.
All bedrooms and communal areas are being cleaned and disinfected to the highest standards, paying attention to hand touch points and any surfaces that may harbour the virus.
We are also cleaning and disinfecting all hand touch surfaces (such as door handles, light switches, handrails, cloakrooms, etc) every two hours, or more often as required using chlorine (bleach is the only ‘usable’ chemical that will kill this virus).
Team members are following the government stay at home guidelines and not coming to work if they have any coronavirus symptoms.
We are asking any team member who has returned from travel in a Category 1 impacted area to follow government guidelines and self-isolate.
In light of scientific advice to maintain social distancing, we have reviewed our breakfast buffet, seating and relaxation areas.
WHAT ARE WE ASKING GUESTS TO DO?
Like us, we ask that you wash your hands regularly and thoroughly. Soap and hot water are by far and away the best medium for doing this.
If you have any coronavirus symptoms, please contact us to postpone your visit, and follow the government stay at home guidelines.
If you or any household family member has recently returned from travel in a Category 1 impacted area (as listed by Public Health England), please follow government guidelines and contact us to reschedule your stay.
If you experience symptoms whilst you are staying with us, please stay in your room and speak to our Duty Manager immediately (they are available 24/7). They will offer support and advice on the steps to follow.
If you have any questions or concerns, please don’t hesitate to contact us at email@example.com or 01665 721 211.
